New Card - Poland

This wonderful postcard came from Poland yesterday. It sounds like they've endured some horrendous flooding recently; sadly, all but two regions of Poland have sustained severe damage. The flooding has disrupted commerce and forced tens of thousands of people from their homes. If it wasn't for the BBC News website, I would never have known. The postcard however depicts better times!

New Card - Japan

I received a wonderful card over the weekend from Japan! It was sent by Yukari, who happens to be Japan's most prolific Postcrosser, with 1,458 postcards sent so far! The stamps on this card are colorful; check them out!

New Card - Germany

Also on Saturday, a card from Germany appeared in my mailbox. It is a fundraising card for an animal sanctuary. I love the idea; everyone needs a cute fuzzy animal in their mailbox! And two is always better than one!

New Card - South Africa!

I received a card on Saturday from Nicole, a little girl in South Africa who Post Crosses with her mom and sister. I had emailed her to ask her about Pretoria, figuring that she might like an opportunity to practice typing/grammar with someone who shares a common interest in postcards and all animals cute and fuzzy. Her mom sent me some great info about Pretoria, and we agreed to swap postcards. I had explained that I loved African wild dogs, so they sent me a postcard of them!

New Cards! Three In One Day!!!

I came home last night to THREE cards in my mailbox! Two were normal Post Crossing cards, while one was a card sent by a woman to whom I'd sent a  really cool lenticular card earlier in the year. She offered to send me a card from Rhode Island, which I happily accepted. So now I have two collections; private swap cards, and regular Post Crossing cards. Awesome! The first two images are the Rhode Island card, while the second two are from Switzerland (Basel), and the third card is from China.

New Card - Finland

Miia from Finland sent me this beautiful card from Helsinki. What you might not see from the 2-D image is that the stamp has a Braille imprint on it. The inscription on the stamp indicates that the picture is of a national park; as I don't know Braille, I have no idea what that part says.

New Card - Germany

I received an awesome card from Janin in Germany last night. The corner of the card is missing, in a bite shape! Too cute.
